The Berlin-based Danish director & choreographer Troels Primdahl is searching for dancers from multiple dance styles to join a new site-specific creation ‘MY ICARUS COMPLEX’. The piece will premiere on 19th of August 2017 in an old hangar located in the middle of a former military airbase on Djursland Peninsula (Denmark) as a part of the official programme of the Aarhus 2017 – European Capital of Culture.

All candidates should first of all be strong characters with professional performance experience. Berlin-based dancers have an advantage (this is not a must), but so have dancers with a distinctive sense of precision and attention to details, and skills in improvisation as well as creating set material.

NB! All selected dancers will enter into a paid contract.

Where: Six weeks of rehearsals will take place at Sostrup Castle (Denmark) in collaboration with the rest of Troels Primdahl’s interdisciplinary ensemble. The performance venue, the hangar, is located close to Aarhus Airport, Kolind, Denmark.

When: Phase one: 12th June – 3rd July. Phase two: 25th July – 21st August.
