Searching for 2-3 dancers to join Fern Katz & Co for a residency and performance opportunity. During a week-long residency at Adams Theater (Western MA), the piece will be re-created and culminate in an evening-length performance on September 2nd, 2023. This work premiered at Bard College at Simon’s Rock Daniel Arts Center Theater in February 23.

Applicants should have strong contemporary and partnering skills, other dance techniques also welcome. Fern Katz & Co. searches for performing artists with sensitivity and a desire to push themselves physically. Physical Dance-Theater experience a plus. This application is open to all professionals, if you feel the project is right for you, please reach out.

IMPORTANT DATES:
Audition: weekend of July 15 (TBD).
During the week of August 20-27, Fern Katz & Co. will meet for 1-2 rehearsals in NYC.
During the week of August 27-September 1, Fern Katz & Co. will travel to Western MA for a week long residency at Adams Theater (https://www.adamstheater.org)
September 2nd: evening-length performance

During the residency, the company will use the time for physical preparation, improvisation, and learning the repertory. Collaborating artists will also be invited to leave their imprint on the work; the piece is an ever-evolving work that is open for change, collaboration, and growth.

The work is a piece for 6 dancers to be performed with a live musician.
