Ben Behrends has spent the last 11 years of his career in European companies, Gothenburg Opera Dance Company and NDT2. Previous to that, he has an additional 4 years of professional experience from his time dancing in North America. During his time within these companies, he has worked closely with nearly 30 leading choreographers.
His workshops are centred around improv training through guided practices. Juxtaposing ideals around the functionality and range of body and space, and the more imaginative side of movement, involving textures, images and storytelling. We will work to explore the the body as a whole entity, built up by smaller sections, and the mind as a furnace that helps fuel inspiration.
