Refinement of sensing, somatic intelligence, and expansion of inner resources from which to move, are at the centre of Alice’s work.
Mapping the inner wilderness, and casting souvenirs from its landscape into conversation with musicality and play.
Alice was born in Namibia, raised in South Africa. She received her formative dance training in her home city of Cape Town. Between 2012 and 2014 she attended The Canadian National Ballet School’s post secondary program in Toronto, after which she began working with the Netherlands Dance Theatre 2 and progressively joined the first company in 2017. In 2019 Alice became an independent artist, working primarily with Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar in their company S-E-D, as well as leading workshops and creating internationally. Alice became a certified Feldenkrais practitioner in 2023.
