In this repertory workshop, we will explore a range of physical sensibilities by engaging with movement material from various choreographies I have made over the years.
We will deepen our understanding of the material by turning up the volume of our sensations, practising our attention to detail and finding ways to better out ability to connect to the needs of each and every physical moment.
It is of great importance to manage to excess our sense of totality in the dance experience, despite our forced physical distance and my
workshop will suggest tools to support that aim.
Noa Zuk is a choreographer and a dancer. At the age of eighteen she began her professional life as a dancer with choreographers Inbal Pinto and Yuval Pick and with the Young Kibbutz Dance Company. A year later she joined The Batsheva Ensemble. In the years of 2000 she joined Batsheva Dance Company (BDC), where she danced for nine years.
Noa left the company in 2009 to concentrate on her work as a choreographer.
Noa is also a renowned teacher. She has been teaching composition, technique, and repertory workshops (both of her own work and of Naharin’s choreographies) worldwide, and is a Gaga teacher since 2007.
