Workshop with Martin Carnevali
Viewpopints is simultaneously a communication system, perception training, and improvisation technique. It is so effective because it is based on purely physical criteria that are intuitively understandable to everyone – such as speed, distance, form, and timing – thus making artistic processes concretely malleable.
Martin Carnevali is an actor and studied with Anne Bogart and the SITI Company in the US, where he learned the working techniques of Viewpoints and Composition.

With VIEWPOINTS, the individual trains readiness, presence, and body awareness, and an ensemble receives a common working basis that everyone shares, enabling communication in action. In the 70´s Mary Overlie first formulated a vocabulary that she called the Six Viewpoints. Anne Bogart transformed this vocabulary into a system that serves actors both for concrete scenic development and for daily training. In this workshop we will receive a thorough and systematic introduction to the application of Viewpoints.
