The Benedict Manniegel Summer Workshop 2023 combines various subjects and learning objectives to make the students benefit from an intense 7 days workshop program, including a showing/presentation as part of the Open House on Sunday 13th, the final day of the workshop.
Level I+II (7-9 y. and 10-12 y.) focus on Classical Ballet according to the Russian Vaganova Method, while also stepping slightly into the creative universe of Contemporary Dance (II). Pointe/Repertoire, Pilates/Anatomy and Contemporary Dance with a focus on dynamic changes, isolation technique and a maximum of physicality as well as expression/emotionality extend the levels’ III+IV program. ChoreoLab (only IV) is a course to discover and explore one’s own choreographic potential by working creatively with existing as well as new choreographic material.
Pilates/Anatomy for Dancers (III+IV) is a course especially designed for dancers‘ needs. It combines and merges theoretical basic skills on anatomy with a profound practical understanding. Explanation and demonstration go hand in hand with exercises according to the Pilates principles of the Power House and holistic body approach.
Level III (13–15 years old) is for young adults with very good ballet and pointe skills according to their age and a minimum of 3× per week training routine. We offer a daily program of Classical Ballet 90min, Pointe/Repertoire 75min, Pilates/Anatomy 45–50min and Contemporary/Modern Dance 75min.
Level IV (16 years and older) is for professional dance students with dance skills (incl. basics in Contemporary Dance) according to their age and a minimum of 5× per week training routine.
We offer a daily program of Classical Ballet 90min, Pointe and Repertoire 75min, Pilates/ Anatomy 45–60min, Modern/Contemporary 75min and ChoreoLab 60min.
