JOIN THE JUNIOR DIVISION OF ELEPHANT IN THE BLACK BOX
A High-Level Training Program for Dancers Aged 15 to 24.

The professional dance company Elephant in the Black Box, under the artistic direction of Jean-Philippe Dury, offers an intensive training program for young artists committed to pursuing a professional dance career.

Based in both France (Pau) and Spain (Madrid), the Junior Division welcomes classical and contemporary dancers aged 15 to 24.
The two structures work closely together, offering a dynamic and immersive environment focused on artistic development, stage experience, and creation.

A Demanding and Professional Program
6 hours of daily training, including ballet technique (barre, pointe work, pas de deux), contemporary dance, partnering, contact, and improvisation.
12 international guest choreographers per season, providing dancers with diverse creative processes and exposure to the current professional scene.
Individual mentoring: personalized guidance in audition preparation, career coaching, and artistic follow-up.
Junior Ballet: all dancers are part of the Junior Ballet, performing on stage every two months and taking part in national and international tours.
Official recognition: in France, students may prepare for the Diploma of Choreographic Studies (DEC) awarded by the French Ministry of Culture, within a recognized pedagogical framework.
Professional Integration and Artistic Excellence
Thanks to our network of partner companies, established collaboration agreements, and the commitment of our dancers, many of our alumni successfully join international dance companies each year.

Scholarships or financial support may be offered to selected candidates based on their application and personal situation.
