A three-week dance residency in the forested hill of Paleohori with choreographer Androniki Marathaki, exploring the heart through movement, solidarity, and the body as a score.

Where: Paleohori eco-art space, Lefkada island, Greece

When: 22 September – 12 October, 2025

Deadline for applications: 28 August, 2025

This October, Greek dancer and choreographer Androniki Marathaki invites you to join a unique three-week residency in Paleohori as part of Symbiotic Danscapes. Centered on the heart—both as a physical organ and as a symbolic space for connection—her research uses the body as a score to unlock new ways of moving, sensing, and relating. Through somatic exploration, improvisation, and collaborative composition, you’ll dive into questions of solidarity, bodily intelligence, and the shared experience of Dance.

Set in the forested slopes of Paleohori, this immersive program offers the rare chance to slow down, connect deeply, and create within a community of curious movers. Together, we will explore scores, group resonance, and embodied practices inspired by the heart’s circulation, rotation, expansion, and voice. More than a workshop, this is an invitation to reimagine spectatorship, performance, and choreography—not as something to consume, but as an act of being, becoming, and encountering.
